Tom Heitzman, D.V.M.

Tom Dr. Heitzman graduated from Iowa State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1986.  He was an associate veterinarian at several practices in Iowa, NH, and VT that included mixed animal practices (small and large animals), dairy, equine, and small ruminant before starting his own practice in Lyme in 1995.  In 2010, Dr. Hetizman and four other veterinarians opened Valley-CARES, an emergency and referral center located in Hanover, NH.  His family also includes two golden retrievers named Lilah and Ivy, a small mixed-breed stray from Puerto Rico named Choco, and three cats named Tank, Cici, and Clovis.  When not practicing veterinary medicine, Dr. Heitzman enjoys kayaking, skiing, and bicycling. 

 

Kirsten Glass, V.M.D.

Kirsten Dr. Glass graduated from Dartmouth in 1995 and completed her Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 2001.  She spent the next year completing an equine medicine and surgical internship in Rochester, NH.  She joined Lyme Veterinary Hospital in 2004 as a large animal vet and owner.  In her free time she enjoys fox hunting and spending time with her two kids and husband. 

 

Abigail Fisher, D.V.M.

abbie teeth check Dr. Abbie Fisher graduated from the Atlantic Veterinary College in Prince Edward Island, Canada in 2009.  She spent the next year living in the Seattle, Washington area where she completed an equine medicine and surgical internship at a well-respected referral hospital.  In 2010 Abbie settled in New Hampshire to be closer to family and continued practicing small animal medicine.  She joined Lyme Veterinary Hospital in March 2012.  Abbie spends her free time with her husband Michael and daughter Charlotte.  She has two dogs, Bruiser and Kalispell and two cats, Bozeman and Alexander Ovechkitten.

 

 

Katie Evans Saemann, DVM

 katie evans Dr. Katie Evans Saemann graduated from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. Katie grew up outside of Rochester, New York but spent a lot of time in the Upper Valley as a child visiting her grandparents.   Katie practiced in Hanover as an associate veterinarian  for eight years and recently joined Lyme Veterinary Hospital in March 2014.  She often says her favorite part of primary care is client education and the interpersonal relationships fostered through veterinary care.  Katie's care and compassion makes her vital part of our team.  Currently she lives in Norwich with her husband, Andy, two young daughters, one cats and their dog. 

 

Chelsea Boyd

chelsea on phone Chelsea grew up in Wilmington, Vermont. She started at Lyme Veterinary Hospital as our reception in 2007 after graduating from Vermont Technical College in 2006.  In her spare time she enjoys hanging out with friends and playing with her dog Leilah.

 

Liza Lynaugh

Liza and dogs Liza joined Lyme Veterinary Hospital in 2003.  She grew up in northern Vermont and graduated with an associates degree in applied science from VTC.  She has been a veterinary technician for 15 years.  She and her husband, Ryan, share a home in Cornish, NH with two horses, two mini donkeys, two pointers and a cat.  When Liza has free time, she enjoys horseback riding with friends and neighbors or just hanging out with all of her four legged babies. 

 

Wanda Kraft, C.V.T.

 Wanda Brown Kitten

Wanda grew up on a dairy farm in North Dakota with a whole menagrie of animals.  Spent five years in the U.S. Army, were she traveled abroad.  She graduated from Vermont Technical College with an associates degree in applied science and has been with Lyme Veterinary Hospital since 2007.  Her four legged kids includes two dogs, Mia and Pringle, three cats and three bunnies.  She also has two kids, Michael and Erin.
